Joyce Meyer – Love One Another

[Let your] love be sincere . . . hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. Love one another with brotherly affection…giving precedence and showing honor to one another. – Romans 12:9-10

As a Christian, you are to have sincere love—God’s kind of love. God doesn’t always love the way people act or the things they do, but He always loves them as people. God calls you to that same kind of love. You don’t have to like everything someone does—in fact you are told to turn from wickedness—but it is your Christian responsibility to follow the example of Christ. When you recognize that everyone is God’s creation, it is easier to obey His command to love and honor them.

You must have a loving attitude toward people, an attitude that is filled with mercy, kindness, and sincere love. This doesn’t always come easy, but God will provide the strength you need to show His kind of love to others.
