Presidential Prayer Team; J.K. – Standing Faithful

ppt_seal01

More than likely, they always accompanied her…perhaps for protection, perhaps to keep her company. Any way you look at it, Pharaoh’s daughter had ladies in waiting – always beside her, attending her every need. What a privilege!

Now the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river, while her young women walked beside the river.  Exodus 2:5

Few people have others who answer their beck and call. But you are blessed if you have a friend who stands beside you…to comfort you, help you finish a job, or simply fellowship with you. A faithful friend will remain with you in difficult times, especially those periods when all others flee. Is it not a gift of God that He is one friend that will never, ever fail you?

It is possible that a person may abandon the Lord, but the opposite is never true for the believer. Know that God will “never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) He desires an ever-developing relationship with you – a relationship won by Christ and accepted by faith.

Take time to know Him. Walk beside Him in His Word. Let your prayer time be a heartfelt conversation. Listen to His guidance. Then intercede for this nation and its leaders that they might return to the Lord.

Presidential Prayer Team; P.G. – Be Bold Today

ppt_seal01

Moses knew he was about to die. His days of guiding the people of Israel across the deserts to the edge of the Promised Land were complete. At the command of the Lord, he commissioned the man who’d shown the boldness of a general and the humility of a dove to take his place – Joshua.

He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

They would soon enter unknown territory…thrust into cultures they’d not experienced before, and among people that could make them fearful. Moses, ever the leader, encouraged Joshua and the people. He reassured them that God would be with them, and they could hold onto their courage.

You, too, might feel there’s unfamiliar ground under your feet in America. You may long for God to give some kind of reassurance that He is near, and sometimes He does. But that’s the exception. He wants you to learn to trust His promise that He hasn’t left you or forsaken you. With that acknowledgment, you can abandon fear and be strong and of good courage.

Be bold today! Take the confident assurance of His presence into your prayer time as you intercede for America and its leaders. And remember, “fear not” isn’t a choice – it’s a commandment!

Presidential Prayer Team – Omnipotent God

You remember the account of the Savior’s conception…how the all-powerful God fused His immaterial Spirit with the material body of Mary, creating the life that would be born “Immanuel, God with us.” You’ll also recall when God first formed man of the dust of the ground: He breathed His own supernatural breath into the natural nostrils of Adam, and life was given. Other biblical examples speak of God’s power and strength, His creative majesty and wonder, and absolute power over everything.

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.Luke 1:35

From that same sheer will, God is all-loving and all-forgiving. How much omnipotence does it take to totally forgive and forever forget sin? His love does not limit His power, nor does His power limit His love. In the same way, His justice does not overrule His mercy, nor does His mercy supersede His justice.

That same universally omnipotent Lord has numbered the hairs on your head (Luke 12:7) and kept track of your tears (Psalm 56:8). Aren’t you just amazed? This great God has a personal interest in you.

Praise Him in your prayer time today. Intercede for family, friends and a nation to come to know and love so great a Savior and Lord.
