Presidential Prayer Team; G.C.- Value Proposition

“It’s not hard to make decisions once you know what your values are.” The famous quip by Roy Disney highlights the connection between beliefs and behavior. But what if the values are based on faulty thinking? For example, ancient Egyptian physicians regularly dripped bat blood into the eyes of those suffering from eye disease. Accepted wisdom of the time observed bats navigate well at night; therefore, absorbing the blood of bats would likely result in great eyesight. If you lived in Egypt then, would you have had the courage to buck that wisdom? Probably not – unless you had the understanding to believe something else.

Be attentive to my wisdom.

Proverbs 5:1

Jesus foretold of a time when people seeking to kill His followers will believe they are offering a valuable service to God. He clarified they will do those things because they do not really know the Father or the Son. Their values will not be grounded in truth, but in evil and error.

Today, dedicate yourself anew to seek the wisdom of God and experience the love of Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit. Base your values on godly thinking. Pray that those in leadership across America will discover the ultimate source of all truth and wisdom, personally knowing Jesus Christ and basing their values upon Him.
